Just One More Ministry (JOMM) began in 2008 as a small and informal food recovery program working with Meal Outreach Ministry at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa. The food rescue program grew from a humble beginning of rescuing one box of bread and donating it to a central city church, into its current form rescuing and repackaging prepared food, fresh produce, and bakery from numerous Milwaukee suppliers and redistributing it to over 90 Greater Milwaukee inner city churches, food pantries, and organizations serving the homeless, poor, women, children, elderly and veterans.
In September of 2020, JOMM moved to a new, larger facility on Milwaukee's north side to continue to rescue food and feed the hungry!
This project will involve unloading and sorting large amounts of food, including stocking shelves, coolers, and freezers. There is room for 5 families at this project and it is open to ages 7+. Masks are required for this project. We will have additional projects at JOMM in June!
